Hello,

I just got my hands on a fridge (Samsung RA19PT) and plan to make it a fermentation space + kegerator.
After removing few screws I could see some cables/freezer lines and it looks to me that i won't be able to remove the freezer after all.
But I know absolutely nothing on this topic so I would like to ask your opinion according tto the pics in attachment.

Thank you for your help,
Vincent

The freezer compartment in that fridge (and most others like it) provides the cooling for the entire unit. You are liable to break the refrigerant lines if you try to move the freezer, and if you remove it entirely you will not be able to cool the unit. Years ago I destroyed a similar fridge trying to do this.

I ended up building an insulated chamber, removing the door from a fridge like this, and attaching the chamber to where the door had been. I can fit 3 fermenters in the chamber, and it holds temp down to about 50*F. I'm pretty sure there is a thread about this somewhere on the site. Works like a charm.

Thank you very much for the quick answer, I'll figure a way to fit 2 Cornelius kegs in it :)
