I'm growing hops in my back yard and my neighbor up the street has some too. We have no idea what they are. I was going to go gonzo and try a fresh hop pale ale or smash. Any tips on the amount of hops to add?
 
Bitter with a known commercial hop and then flavor/aroma with 5 or 6 times what you would use if doing dry leaf. Thats ballpark as I recall.
 
Do you crumble up the fresh hop flowers to expose more of the oil or throw them in the boil whole?
