The ice build up depressed the co2 hose and I lost gas . Can this shelf be removed or will that kill the fridge? I have defrosted again and will periodically do this if it's the only solution. Thanks Steve

Dont know if the shelf can be removed with out more information. Picture might help. You could defrost and maybe add a de-humidifier? That might at least pro-long the de-frost times.
