Hated that beer.

And KBS is all coffee this year. Nothing else. Meh.

I thought it was all chocolate this year, but absolutely NO barrel which blew my mind. Very little difference from regular breakfast stout.

Will I drink the hell out of it still? Absolutely

It's devolved into a better than average coffee stout that should be about $12 a six pack not $22 a four pack.

About to open another bottle tonight for science because the one i had last night was nothing but bourbon. it was okay but it sure as **** wasn't what it used to be and sure as hell not what everyone else has been saying..

It was surprisingly easier to drink out of the gate than previous years, not as boozy, and more coffee forward. In years past I would usually have one the night I picked it up and put the rest away for at least 3-6 months while the booziness settled down a bit. I don't get that people are saying there is no barrel? It may be muted a bit but its there, but that is just like my opinion man.

I did order the glass though.. that ****** is sick imo!
Yeah, I picked on up as well.

Jamband bickering aside, how is Founders Fest? I only see UM about once a year these days and considering it's Father's Day weekend and my folks are in Kzoo, this might be a good one to hit if there are some solid draft options. How many 'specialty' tappings do they usually do?

I've never been, but it's my understanding it's more of a music fest with beer and not a beer fest. In other words, don't expect much in the way of special/rare taps.

I've been once and they generally have one station serving a rotating array barrel aged specialties. That said, it's a long day and it can be kind of hot/sunny in mid-June so the lighter fare makes more sense, IMO.

As my username indicates, I'm a UM fan and have only missed one hometown show in the last 10 years, so....

Just when you thought it couldn't get any worse...

Yep, an imperial malt liquor aged in bourbon barrels.
