I have been doing all grain batches and twice now my efficiency levels have been low both times I have increased the grain bill A simple grain bill and that batch sparging brewed a Kalsh beer and expected and OG of 46 ended up with A 20 i'm using 830 quarts igloo cooler for my tun did a calculation for my Sparge water and hit exact tested migraine with iodine after 60 minutes all was good Sparge and ended up with 7 gallons for a 5 gallon batch boiled down to 5 gallons I question is I'm concerned about my set up my cooler is more square and tall I have a Sankey keg that I have not touched and thinking about converting it into my tun I would like to use it as my brew kettle and may be reconfigured my igloo cooler I have two shaded pole motors low RPMs and a motor controller and thinking about putting two paddles and there to stur The mash and fly sparging what do you all think

First off I think you need to proof read your post better, also some punctuation wouldn't hurt so it's not so painful to read. I seriously doubt you're using a 207 gallon igloo cooler.

For efficiency help we need details like how you crush (if you can attach a picture even better), recipe, mash thickness and temp, how you sparge. Secondly how do you take your measurements - i.e. if hydrometer is it calibrated and was the wort cooled? The more details the better help you will get.

I don't mean to sound like a grammar nazi, but after re-reading the first few lines of the post, I gave up. Commas and periods are your friends.

Sorry grammar nazi I was taking my son to baseball practice and was using my phone, should have proof read before posting, ran into a friend who knows more than I do about this, thanks anyways....,,,,,!!!!!?????

Eh, don't take it personally, it was just hard to figure out where one thought ended and another began. Sorry if I came across like a d!ck, I don't want to discourage anyone from posting in this forum because it's a great place to learn.

No I didn't. I read my post and was completely embarrassed. I was just showing you all that I will post appropriately next time. Thanks

So, to address the issue and OP:

Let's start with:
Do you crush your own grain?

What is the real numbers for your mash tun??

Sanke keg is your boil kettle?

Let's start there?
