Flaked Barley

Does flaked barley need to be run through the mill? First time using it and my LHBS sells it as what looks like whole barley. Almost like whole oats. Any advice?

I'd say no but would advise adding rice hulls.

It does not need to be milled.

If it looks like grain it's not flaked, flaked barley looks like any flaked product, looks like oatmeal and does not go through the mill.
