Flaked Barley Questions

Does flaked barley look like oat meal?
I just received a bag of the stuff and my first thought was, "They ain't nuthin in thar but a bunch o' oatmeal."

Do you run it through the malt mill?

It does look like flaked oats, except maybe browner in color.

No need to mill it- they are flaked and ready to use.

It looks like my flaked barley looks. My oats are very white colored.

My flaked barley does not look like EdWort's but instead looks exactly like yours, chucke.

I gotta say though, that EdWort's flaked barley looks pretty cool -- It's looks like you'd get more color and flavor from it than the usual flaked barley.
