i planted 2 tettnanger hop rhizomes about a month and a half ago one sprouted about two weeks ago and had nice little leaves growing and everything, soon it stopped growing and looked like bugs were eating on it, so yesterday i sprayed seven spray on it, got in from work today and it looks dead, we had a frost last night but i covered it up? do you guys think it'll make it?

Hmmm that’s a tough one, depending on where the rhizome came from in the first place, you may have been doomed from the start. None the less, hops are pretty hardy plants that can survive a lot.

FWIW, I cut all my bull shoots back until after mother’s day, so you may still have some hope.

No expert, but my experience is that I had great success with some varieties (Cascade) and miserable failure with others (Willamette). Grew them in the same spot, got the rhizomes from the same hop grower, one went wild and the other died off.

Good luck.
