I wont be able to brew this until February (currently overseas) but have been tinkering with Beersmith and wanted to create a recipe to make when I get home and have my own. I have been brewing for about 4 years now off and on due to travel with work and am just stepping into the all grain style of brewing. Any tips I can get to make this better would be appreciated, I am looking for a nice well rounded Pale that isnt super heavy on the Hops for the friends I have who dont like IPA but heavy enough for me who enjoys a nice IPA. This is what I came up with.
7.25 lbs Pale Ale Malt
1.5 lbs Crystal 30L
1.5 Lbs Munich Malt
.75 oz Magnum (12%) 60 Min
.25 oz Cascade (5.5%) 20 Min
.25 oz Sterling (7.5%) 20 Min
.25 oz Cascade (5.5%) 0 min
Yeast would be 1056
Batch is 5 gallon
Per Beersmith I am looking at 36.5 IBU and 9.2 SRM I am shooting for around 1.055 OG but am currently unsure of my efficiency since I have yet to use the new set up.
Once again thank you for your time and I look forward to hearing what others have to say.
