Hey all,

So you'd think that after homebrewing for a few years and being the tech-geek that I am, I would have joined an online homebrew forum much earlier on. But alas, that is not the case. I've been lurking around these parts for a while now, much more just recently, so I figured it was about time I took the plunge and joined up.

I've been extract brewing for about 5 years now, but not as often during those 5 years as I would have liked. The wife and I just bought our first house, with a garage, so now my brewing capabilities have gone through the roof. I just purchased a propane burner, 40qt brewpot, and made my first cooler mash/lauter tun and, naturally, my first all-grain batch. I also caught the kegging bug and found a killer deal for an entire CO2 setup plus three kegs for $100. The first all-grain batch just went into the keg about 15 minutes ago.

So that's about it. I've learned a lot from HBT, most recently being "don't fear the foam" :rockin:, and I'm hoping that I'll be able to contribute just a little bit to this awesome homebrew forum!

We're glad to have you!

Brewing really can become an obsession. When I'm not brewing, I'm usually thinking about brewing. It's my favorite hobby!

couldn't agree more! :fro:
