Hey guys I'm doing my first stout tomorrow, it's my fourth beer. The question is that I have a packet of safale yeast, should I use that or should I buy a white labs or wyeast packet? I've never used a liquid yeast and don't know the difference really. I just want this to turn out good

I'd stick with the safeale. Stouts typically don't derive a lot of flavor from their yeasts and you would be fine using a clean finishing yeast like the safeale. I'd reserve the liquid yeasts for beers that really need a certain strain like heffe or kolsch.

Okay thanks, ive got a packet of 05 already so no need to go back to the lhbs
