Hi all.
I am scheming for my electric conversion. I want to build a setup that can be used with 220v and 110v. Right now i do not have 220v access but will in my future home. Is it possible to build a system that I can swap the plugs to change voltage.
I will have a PID controlled HLT for the herms coil. Boil kettle will be manual electric/propane hybrid.
I plan to use a 5500w 220 element, i am aware that it will turn into a lower watt output when used on 110.
I was planning on using heavier wire, appropriate for 220 demands. Also planning on using a 60a SSR
Has anyone else made a system like this?
Anything else i need to consider?
