Justed pitched the yeast on my first 5 gallon batch. Forgot to take an OG. But Recipes was simple.
8 oz of Melanoidin Malt steeped for 30min @ 170 degrees
3.3lb can of Muntons Amber Extract
2 lbs Muntons light DME
1 oz of Liberty hops @ 30min
1 oz Liberty hops @ 15min
6grams of dry Muntons Ale Yeast (Hydrated in 100 degree water and cooled to fermenting temp)
Cooled wort in ice bath to 70 degrees.
Place in Glass 6 gallon Carboy. started bubbling within 12 hrs. fermented with foam for 36 hrs. Foam started to disapate at 48 hrs bubbling slowed to once every 35 seconds. Beer is cloudy with skim layer of foam.
How is it going? Advice from here?
