Entered my first AG beer in the Best Florida Beer Championship and took silver in the English Ale category. I did a riff on KingBrianI's Common Room ESB.

I am pretty damned stoked. I wanted to shout for joy from the top of a mountain, but I didn't have a mountain, I had a newsroom... I mean HBT.

Congrats!! I am drinking a Common Room ESB right now....very good. How old was your when it was judged?

Congrats Doug!! - I scored my first medal in the BFBC as well - silver for my Idlewyld Mild in the English Brown Ale category. Feels good don't it?

Congrats! Awesome result for your first AG! Now...keep improving.

Had my first decent medal haul from a competition this past weekend--couple gold (doppelbock, which scored a 41, and a schwarzbier (36)) and a silver (bohemian pils (33)). The medals are nice but hopefully get some good feedback from the judges to improve things even further.
