RIP Tom Petty. Still remember listening to Full Moon Fever in my first car as a 16 year old. That album captured that new sense of freedom perfectly.

He’s been my favorite singer since I was 11 when Full Moon Fever came out. I heard about his passing in the car over the radio - it was such an awful gut punch.

Saw his show in October 1991 in Columbia, SC on his 40th birthday. He had just released "Into the Great Wide Open". What a show!

Got to see Tom once around 98 or 99. I always said I'd catch another of his shows, sadly I never did.

All Tom Petty on my spotify today. Weird how you don't remember all the great tunes until they are gone.

Loved his music growing up and still listen to it on the Ipod all the time. Shame he couldn't enjoy his older years with his family and granddaughter. Would have loved to see him at a live concert one more time.
