does this have a release date yet?
It is on tap already I believe, but cans are on Saturday morning

We have just released Power Glove Double IPA in the Berkeley Taproom. Power Glove is a collaboration with our friends at Noble Ale Works from Anaheim. They are making some of the best beers in the world and we are stoked to share the results of our "brewmance".

Special Release cans of Power Glove will be available in Berkeley, Napa and Sacramento on Saturday the 20th when we open at 11 am. Limits are 12 cans per person. Limits may be increased or decreased depending on turnout. Limit of one growler fill per person per day. No Crowler fills of Power Glove will be available day of the release.

Quick question as I'm heading there in a few weeks, how long do cans last in the taprooms?
If Napa is part of your trip, it might be worth hitting up the one in Oxbow. FWIW I was there on the Saturday after a three-can Friday release and all three were still available when the bar closed.

I wish they would tell you what is available in cans on their site or at least not be misleading about it. They use the cans as images for some taps (https://fieldworkbrewing.com/san-mateo/) but I know they're long out of Sea Farmer and Green Rest. This is kinda selfish of me since I can run out and grab cans at lunch in San Mateo, but I don't think it's too much to ask since they're already updating each sight's page daily.

Just put a disclaimer saying they can't guarantee cans will be in stock the entire day or something.

Just cracked a can of virtual planetoid from the release a couple of weeks ago. Has an off "buttery" aftertaste. Is this what you smart beer geeks call diacetyl? Anyone else taste it in this beer? Still good.

Buttery can come from a few different things, depending on how you perceive certain chemicals, though diacetyl is the most common. As far as I know none of them are created after bottling/canning, so if it's there it would've been there the whole time. Seems like we would've heard something by now if it had issues, but maybe not I dunno.

I've given up on buying the cans. I've had nothing but crap beer come out of them, even if the beer was good on draft. I'll just try things on tap and get crowlers if I really want stuff to go.

Bunch of this at the Whole Foods around the corner on Gillman

Bottling date is May?

Regardless. It is kind of weird and kind of i like it.

I might buy more.
