All that said.. Cliffs of Tephra is back this weekend. Remember really digging that stuff.

Is anyone going to the DDH Galaxy Hero release on Friday? I don't think I can swing it till Saturday.. :(

Also, St. Variant Day is Saturday too at Blue Island?

Quite a lot going on.

Agreed promoting that one day a month thing so prominently is really odd and weird - like it's almost part of the name of the brewery. I think middlebrow is right that they're starting to contract at Church Street. Maybe they'll get rid of that tag line soon.

Their imperial brown ale was surprisingly good, the NE IPA was well done, and the stout was closer to a hoppy American stout like Founders RIS than a sweet mess (and was really tasty).

But I did drink a New England Wild Tropical Stout. Please don't let that become a thing.

gonna put that one on the brewpub bad ideas docket...behind the pizza saison and your requested chocolate IPA. i had a crazy citra hopped RIS at goose eons ago that i loved so i bet it may be able to be pulled off but really, why would you do that.

I am still waiting for the Big Mac grisette, dry-hopped with sesame seeds...

If the South Side Irish Parade is zero tolerance towards alcohol now, why even go?

Similar to what speciation does in Michigan has a bottle release one day a month and a small taproom for that day. They are all though in the process of building a full-fledged tap room.

I’ve heard of energy city but have not had any beers from them yet.

Is DDH Galaxy Hero getting distributed? Have to work all day tomorrow and the wife is going out of town for the weekend. Seems unlikely I'll make it for the release.
Yes, not a ton, but you shouldn't have trouble finding it next week. I think it will last past tomorrow at the Tap Room/Brewpub as well, but never say never.

Also, while I'm here...

As you know i normally don't advertise **** i'm doing

Ok drinking a sample now, bottled Feb. 6th.

Guess what? It's ******* great. It tastes like Saaz hops, that sorta spicy-minty-black tea kinda thing that Saaz imparts.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

This could work as a summer crusher...flavorful 4.2% and love the 16oz format...oooh, just pictured this on my once a year golf outing! $6 per 4-pack at Jewel...
