Im excited.

It's a mile from my house and I drive by it on my way home from work.

Sounds good to me. $6 Hop Stoopid pints would keep me there for awhile.
I usually don't get out of work til about 6:00 (I'll try earlier), so I might not be able to make it to Beer Bistro til about 6:20.
If it's just you and me, want to postpone a week or two? Looks like it's going to warm up a little.

Yes because when I think of the Scottish wee heavy style, the first thing that comes to mind is aggressive hopping with Australian varietals.
The way he's flipping off the camera is the very pinnacle of edginess and anti-establishmentarianism. Yeah! Screw you, The Man! Does this aggressively-hopped Scottish wee heavy blow your mind? Suck on that!

January 30th is coming up for you Solem Oath members...of the old order? Idk what you're calling it but I'm curious to hear the results.

I guess they announced the soon-to-be released beers for their members today (or at least I haven't heard discussion on here yet about it). Bottles to be released:

#1 The Old Order I
Farmhouse Ale aged in red wine barrels with apricot. 10% ABV

#2 The Old Order II
Farmhouse Ale aged in red wine barrels with raspberry. 10% ABV

Anyway... Good news is they are staying true to style and releasing beers with barely distinguishable labels (or maybe I'm just color blind)

Bottles will be made available to the public one week later (Feb 6th).

Thought this was a kind of funny note on the membership:

"Now for the beers. Sometimes with each of the quarterly-ish releases for The Old Order, the two bottles available will be the same beer, other times it will be one bottle each of two different beers. For this initial drop it is the latter."

Really you take 3 months in between membership releases and you may only give your members two bottles of the same beer?

Intrigued but leery after nitro / coffee SJ underwhelmed.
