The expected price of 22 oz of ZD doesn't sound great to me. Likely between $6-8 when you can (could? maybe no longer) get a sixer for $10. RedCoffee called it; this one will be going after fanboy pocketbooks.

I'm interested to see the reaction on Rare. I'm positive the bros are gonna say "ZOMG, best beer I've ever tasted" but I think a lot of people are going to be underwhelmed as I was. Don't get me wrong, it was good but it had a lot of dark fruit, vinous flavors to it which turned me off.

I wouldn't give up a great bottle for it at all. Tickers gotta tick though.

This is for sure the reason they did this, just dialing in the new bottling system with some standards before they put a pricier specialty beer out.

The timing is curious though.

They put in a new 44-head Krones system. I don't doubt for a second they're just dialing in 22's, but i do think there's a beautiful juxtaposition with the line for $3.25 22oz's vs. the line for $60 16.9oz's
