True story, i got thrown out of a Chuck E Cheese's once in Fairfax, VA because i wandered in looking for a friend forgetting i was wearing my <PIG> tour shirt, featuring the friendly phrase FIND IT **** IT FORGET IT in giant yellow letters on the back.

I felt kinda bad about it to be honest, but it makes a hell of a story now, especially since i ate acid with John Waters a few days later.

A good comedian could turn that anecdote into a terrific 5 minute bit.

Has anyone ever heard anything about Clybourn rebrewing D-Day since its appearance several years back? Not sure who came up with it or if he/she is still even there. Regardless, I suppose the recipe would still sit with Clybourn. Only answer I've ever gotten from them was no plans for it in near future.

$3.25 on this sucker.....can't figure out why they do this.
maybe 3 floyds is like the pringles corporation in the mitch hedberg joke, and they're just some laid back mother f*ckers.

barnaby, we're supposed to bottle some gumballhead today but they delivered bombers.
---**** it, bottle that **** up.

at least they didn't put it back in barrels for a future release of Bully Guppy 2.0....or at least I hope they didn't....oh **** I hope they don't read this and get some ideas.

"Want to make some extra cash on this batch of Gumballhead?"
"Sure, how?"
"Let's just toss it in bombers this time."
"But wait, won't that be more expensive for consumers? Won't our sales decline?"

Price per ounce works out right in range with their sixer price ($.148/oz for bomber; $.138 for sixer). Penny more per oz in bombers. To your point it is still more...

Chose to leave this gif in because whoever that is opposite Julia Roberts is freaking me out so much I can't stop watching.

It's a jegross2 favorite. I shudder to think of the lengths he'd go to if they bottled it.

Well, since I don't think Liquid Inspiration (the base stout) has been brewed since 2013 and D-Day was a Jared Rouben jam, I kinda doubt it will be back. Pretty sure random brewers at Goose won't be terribly interested in soaking pears in Calvados either. Signing off as your resident Clybourn expert.

to this point, why not bother moody tongue on twitter about doing it or does that stuff fall under intellectual property of goose?

Probably not. Recipes generally don't fall under copyright, which is why stuff like the Coca-Cola formula gets treated like state secrets.

I believe you're correct; this was debated over on the other site when Mike left TG. Also another example (although not one I'm too familiar with) is Mott the Lesser from the Kate the Great guy.

Yeah. It can get weird... like, there may be an argument that a specific, iconic plating constitutes a work of art. Or that a new brewing process may get patent protection if it does something really useful.

But, generally, recipes aren't protected.

I don't care what anyone says, 22oz of ZD sounds fn great to me.
