Brace yourselves cider donuts are coming. I'm pretty sure fall is my favorite time of year.

I could have swore that I saw full cans of Oktoberfest in the cold room a week ago already at Rev. Maybe those were for Ohio.

Paletas Tamarindo by 5 Rabbit is one of my new favorite summer crushers. I'm so sad I just discovered it this past Sunday. Super light, mildly tart, a little floral with a nice citrus backing. At only 3.5% it's perfect.
It was only just released. That and Watermelon debuted at GTMW (or at least that was he impression I got from other postings). Watermelon is no bueno. Tastes like the watermelon was overripe. But tamarind is AMAZING!

I saw on BA (ugh) that it was added last year, but the only review is from June of this year so makes sense. I want them to bottle that, pronto.

Yeah, all the Paletas (Watermelon, Mango, Mango con Chile, Tamarindo, and regular Guava - probably missing other experimental ones) have existed in small batch form before going as far back as late summer 2013.

They even did a Pineapple Berliner on Friday that I guess sold out really quickly.

Fun series.

That sounds awesome. One of my go-to summer patio drinks is Jarritos Tamarindo with a shot of tequila, over ice...sounds like this Paletas should sub in for the sparkling flavored corn syrup quite nicely.

Havent seen them talked about much here, but I went and checked out Breakroom Brewing last night and that is an incredible space. Beautiful bar, darts, quick food, and some pretty solid beers actually. I will definitely be heading back.

I met Eric Padilla (head brewer I believe) from Breakroom at Oak Park last weekend and he was a really good dude, looking forward to making it out there soon.

They were handing out crowlers to people in line at DLD. I remember whatever I got being decent enough, but not standout. Pale ale of some sort.

I had plans to head up there last Sunday but they fell through. Going to make it a point to get there this weekend. Glad to hear it's worth the trip.

While I found the space aesthetically pleasing, I didn't dig the crowd/vibe.

The bar itself is really cool but then again.. that's what they are known for.. building bars.

The beer was solid but comparable to most other brewpubs around town. A couple standouts, a couple misses. Very mushy middle.

Just my opinion but not really worth my time to visit when making the rounds not out of a dislike but more convenience / my location preferences.
