The only remotely interesting thing on that list is Golden Blend.
On site consumption of a "cellared" Golden Blend will cost- I'm betting- north of $35. It's an amazing beer but I have no interest in drinking it in a liquor store.

And frankly, I hate the Binny's tasting rooms. It's like drinking in a Target, only less-against-the-rules, which is the ONLY reason I'd ever want to drink in a Target.

I missed the on-premise part.

Yeah, **** that.

But really, that list looks like the result of a "Hai guize, wut should I cellar?" thread from BA.

LP has a nice tasting room compared to say south loop, since it is in a separate but attached building and actually feels like a separate space, but no. I am not going to hang out there and drink bottles.

Any additional info? I hadn't seen anything about this either and have loved that beer. Available now, or you saw a picture?
Yeah... It is out. Saw it on beermenus. Wish I knew it was in the city already. I am going to have to find some tomorrow. If it is anywhere near as good as the draft versions I have had, well, I may buy a lot of it.

Just cracked one. Haven't had it since DLD and the Yuzu seems a tad less as the draft version in my opinion, but good god why did Laffler wait until Mid-August to release this?! This is easily the best summer beer I've had.

Huh... the Lincoln Park Binny's is on DoorDash. Moderate mark-up (Revolution 6-packs are @$11.50). Wine and spirits are limited but, hey, if you were waiting to be able to order for delivery a 1L bottle of Jim Beam for $35 + fees, the future is now.
But imagine you needed an emergency case of Paletas. Who else is going to bring that to you?

Yeah, agree it doesn't have as much yuzu and it is a bit grainy for my berliner tastes, but still fantastic. Grabbed my 4 packs at LP Whole Foods.

Anyone remember talk of the caps on Radiolaria not attached properly? Threw mine in the fridge this morning to open tomorrow and noticed it is slightly crooked and now I'm worried.

If anyone cares, the carb was fine on my bottle, pretty good beer too. Had Wild XII last week on tap at Penrose and it's great, unfortunate that the bottles sold out in one day. Deminimus Mandarina was also good, excited for Amarillo and Roux.

Are there that many lurkers on TB?

Hey LP whole foods, got any yuzu fierce?

---ummm it weirdly sold out in a couple hours like it was zombie dust.

Thanks SAISON ****
Don't you read the "Introduce yourself" threads? most of them are people who joined a year ago but didn't introduce themselves because they were afraid to admit they still use BA, and then they got a warning.

Anyone else besides Rizdac and powz87 make it out to the Oak Park Microbrew Review?

Thoughts?

I thought it was a good event in a nice location for a festival, but the weather certainly didn't cooperate and it seemed to be a bit understaffed / the volunteers for Replicale didn't have a good idea of what they were actually pouring.

It run about as good as any other guild event. This is the first time I've been to it. Couldn't ask for a better spot. It's right on the metra stop. We didn't do replicale so I can't comment on that. But every time we needed something Justin or Katie seemed to be around. Was pretty pumped to see Clare's thirsty pop up as it wasn't at GTMW. middlebrow was walking around like a friggen celebrity. Shades on, hair on fleek.

Tons of food options. It was big enough that I totally neglected one wing up until about 30 minutes before it closed. Replicale is a nice idea, but too many to try to get a sense of everyone's take on it. The Imperial Oak cactus saison and DESTHIL's one were my favorites.

Thank god I didn't get stuck with powz87 in his tent during the monsoon.

and by celebrity you mean with Rizdac and his wife for the 15 minutes in-between pourin beer, trying to sample 15 breweries. and in sunglasses because I struggle to see in bright daylight because I have like white/blue eyes.

thought it was a cool event, kinda pumped with all the new breweries tackling a bunch of different styles. Can't remember the last chicago beer fest that featured hoppy lagers, zwickels, gose's, and rosemary fruit saisons (forgot the fruit, what was is Gonzoillini ). this time last year I feared everyone making IPA's but now the future in this town looks a **** ton brighter.

but the event layout seemed a little congested at times and as a hipster *********, the music was the ****** pits.

We were right on top of the music. I still can't hear anything. Also nobody played freebird which was a major disappointment

I was there pouring for Rude Hippo at first, until Brian at Uncle John's got overwhelmed being the only cider at the entire event. So, I wound up pouring cider all day and we literally poured every last drop. Cider is the crack cocaine of the booze word, people even got angry when we ran out...

Uncle Johns is awesome. Used to go pumpkin picking there in college back before they even got into booze. Top notch cider doughnuts.
