Agreed. Aside from the potential for lines I was really curious if they're worth $20 and $25 a bottle. That's pretty steep for a bomber of beer no one was ever tasted before. Lotta of blind faith taking that plunge.
These beers were poured at FOBAB, so not really blind for folks who enjoyed them then.

Tickets for Rev's party went on sale today - that $27 ticket turns into a $36 ticket after taxes and fees. That's a good deal for an Andrew WK concert - pretty **** deal for a brewery party, though, when all you get is said concert and a souvenir glass. Take into account $4 beers on top of that and... pass.

Srs. Andrew WK was like $15 at Mojoes over the Summer.

Not sure if anyone is up but the Butthurt is real on CCBE regarding a picture Sheffield's posted tonight. It's one of the most #newmoney threads yet.

If anyone would know ****** tactics, it would be him.

Lizard King was right yesterday at Longman. May sneak over there again today.

They also had a baltic porter on nitro that they brewed with goose. **** was aged in their hand selected 21 yo weller barrels and was ***** sprinkles.

Ram Eagle was badass. Thanks for the heads up on that one.

Haven't bought a Pipeworks beer in forever, but figured I'd try out Lizard King because it's exactly what I've been asking for from Pipeworks. Was really good. Whenever cans are available they'll definitely be in the rotation.

In summary:

People asking if they can buy bottles to go (no, *******), people asking to take stock because they are hurriedly rushing over and a guy Facebook messaging Sheffields cursing them out because they didn't have everything in the picture for sale and that "he runs a softball league and they just lost his business!"

Maybe if these fools regularly stopped in to eat and drink, they would find some of the nice stuff they put on tap and bottles they just randomly drop in the cooler.

They posted this: https://twitter.com/SheffieldsBBQ/status/561720167986888705
And apparently this was in no way indicative of what was actually for sale (and isn't even likely their own picture).
And then someone really gave it to Sheffields by messaging them directly to tell them they made a big mistake because they "run a softball league" and won't be patronizing them anymore.
I'm sure a softball league protesting them will make a huge dent in their business

EDIT: @cicardinal84 beat me to it.

Because Sheffields doesn't get enough baseball-related business!

Or enough business in general. I used to walk in there 3-4 years ago on Saturday nights in the winter and wasn't crowded at all. Now it's always packed.

side note: Is Winter Storm Linus going to stop the #newmoney from going to Hopleaf?

Haha, CCBE is NOT happy with that Budweiser commercial.
Just watched it -- it... was bad.

The reaction on CCBE is stupid and pointless, of course, because AB-InBev is all:

And everyone on CCBE is going to lap up the BCS beer next fall anyway.
