AB will regret airing that commercial once they realize I run a GOD DAMN softball league and I am so angry that I'll demand all my players to stop buying their swill. That'll show them!
Holy ****. They are all so fcking mad. I'm so happy Budweiser ran that commerical. I just wish they had used #CCBE in it.

In-bev cut a great 80's wrestling promo on craft drinkers. The only problem is when you acknowledge your competition, you are acknowledging a threat.

Here's my great line on the CCBE outrage last night - "I haven't seen this group this charged up since earlier today about hopleaf, or last night about sheffields, or yesterday about......"

If you think CCBE is bad, check out the Budweiser Facebook page...
Whoever is running their social media is really steering into the skid. I thought this rejoinder was good:

I watched the ad again just a few seconds ago, meh. I have better things to worry about than a Super Bowl commercial making fun of snifter smelling, mustachioed hipsters. Hell, I make fun of snifter smelling, mustachioed hipsters, drink what you want and worry about real problems not pumpkin peach ales, I have said my piece. Good day, gentlemen...

In non-CCBE news: South Loop Brewing was just officially legalized by the ILCC this past Friday. So we should start seeing bottles and kegs of their stuff trickling out in the coming months.

Probably the only chance anyone has ever heard of them might have been their Milkstachio Milk Stout that was available at Dry Hop and Fountainhead. It's was a pretty damn tasty pistachio milk stout. The other couple beers I've had from them have been meh.

I think we'll be pretty dead until the Butt Hurt from CCBE over not getting Stout Fest tickets. Hopefully those go on sale soon. I've had a lot of fun the past 4 years going and I'm glad it'll be back at Clybourn.

Really hope that they don't ruin this also. Hopefully, the fact that there are no bottle sales will keep them away.

I'm telling you that you can really improve the positivity of your day by just leaving CCBE. At what point does the butthurt over CCBE exceed the butthurt from CCBE?

You may be confusing butthurt with schadenfreude. Ie:

Seems to have surpassed that in some instances. I'd also say that taking a great amount of pleasure in the misguided butthurt of folks on CCBE doesn't exactly paint folks in a great light themselves. It's one thing to laugh at someone being a JAG just for the sake of being a JAG on a facebook message board. It's another to talk down to, troll, or laugh at folks who don't know any better and not bother to help them understand their mistakes.

Man. Wasn't this like $25 with fees in 2011-2012? I'm sure this will be close to $50 when all is said and done. If I don't get a sloppy ******* at the end of this I'm going to write a strongly worded letter to GI Clybourn Management.

i went to stout fest last year, and while it was fun and there was some great beer, after about 45 minutes my palate was shot and i was dying to drink anything at all besides a damn stout. so i'll be sitting it out.

Coronado Brewing coming to Chicago via Wirtz. I know absolutely nothing about them. Just saw it on twitter and thought I'd pass it along. I feel like every time a new brewery I've never heard of enters Chicago I end up buying another local beer just to offset it. Headed to the north side tomorrow to do an IP trade, then I'll probably stop at WLV and pick up some Spiteful/Pipeworks/Half Acre etc.

stout fest was 40 last year, 35 the year before

Brewpub is nice if you're ever in Coronado. They're in MKE/WI, possibly through Wirtz. Not sure. Their beer is serviceable. Chicago Locals is the correct answer.
