This I'd like to get my hands on:

http://www.clownshoesbeer.com/cs_beer/hammer-holy/

"Hammer of The Holy 2015 will be released nationally in January, but it is super limited (about 450 cases). This time around we reconditioned bourbon barrels with aged Clement Rhum. The rum note seems super intense so far. Most markets will see a small allocation, but this is yet to be worked out."

"We are sending to several states. Some states will get it this week, others next. The markets getting Hammer are: TX, IL, OH, MN, NJ, MA, CT, PA, GA, LA, and ME."

Has anyone heard anything about when/where/how much around Chicago?

I've heard it will be super limited. Better check CCBE.

These guys know all the things. For example, in response to a question about how long to age KBS, someone offered this:
BCS Coffee is at least Wirth [sic] aging because the base beer is worth aging.

I don't think KBS improves at all with age.

I must've missed that one; see, I'm in line for KBS right now, and my phone died, but it's cool, I traded a 2013 BCBS bottle for the use of someone's charger. Gonna score some whalez bro!!1!

Not sure why I held out hope CCBE wouldn't blow up the Hopleaf event Sunday. Posted by someone who doesn't even appear to be going, no less. Can't resist the urge to feel they're doing God's work letting thousands know about an event. Bummed hopleaf even posted in first place. I feel like if I ran a place with steady traffic like hopleaf I'd prefer to not get needlessly crushed.

Yes, let's say no to a hoard of people coming into our bar and spending money.

I've been waiting all day for one of the CCBE'ers to blow it up. Last year was awesome. Super easy and relaxed. I can only imagine what it's going to be like now.

That is a strawman. Not posting a tapping is not commensurate with telling people not to come spend money. It's basically, would we rather have a normal day and sell out of this stuff later Sunday or possibly Monday, or would we rather have a giant swarm of people come in, not eat food because they're leaving for super bowl parties, and sell out by 2:00.

I would probably lean towards the former.

I'm positive that profit margins are better on alcohol, so anytime you can blow through a bunch of kegs super fast is just easy money. Then they replace those kegs and continue their normal sales. People who show up after the beers are gone will most likely still buy a beer.

Holy ****, I'm reading the comments on Hopleafs FB page about the tapping of CBS earlier this week. Someone said Hanger 9 in Carbondale tapped a keg a couple weeks ago. Probably lasted for days on tap in the dirty south!
