Is it just me or is CW17 valued lower than it should be? I remember 1414 and 15 being like gold. Now there were a ton of 17 getting sold for $25 on CCBE. And traded for Hunter variants! Is it the 8 bottle limit and every FIB going to get it? I don't understand #newMoney bottle valuing. Like at all.

I had to take that bus ride for the playoffs my soph. year (04)....they played ******* "peanut butter jelly time" out of the one old ass 1950's metal cone PA speaker while we were running plays pre-game.

First time any of us had heard it and I'm pretty sure the 2 back stopped mid-motion and we all just turned and stared in disbelief while trying to figure out what the **** was going on.

I left that group after like 2 weeks when I saw a guy offering mule services + gas for a run from the ******* North subs down to Liquor World in Kankakee (+/- 2hr drive) ((relatively close to me and used to be my spot for random gems)).

The shelves were bare for like a month afterwards. Thank god they took themselves off of beermenus.

My guess is that there's just that much more 17. Plus 16 was available at the brewery forever after the anniversary party. So anyone who wanted it could stock up. I know of a few 'sconies who ended up with multiple cases.

However that doesn't mean everyone is smart. Did you guys see 16 on MBC?There was a dude asking for $200/bottle and another asking $150ish for two.

Difference with CW17 this year is the fact that NewMoney is much more into flipping beer immediately (as evidenced on CBE) which deflates the "market" and subsequently pushes the "value" down. Couple that with the influx of the 'OMG THIS IS MY FIRST TIME AT CW THIS BEER ROCKS LOL CAN I TRY SOME OF THOSE BOTTLES YOU'RE SHARING BRO I DIDN'T KNOW ALL THESE GREAT BEERS WOULD BE HERE OR I WOULD HAVE BROUGHT SOME DINO SMORES' crowd and, well, there you have it.

Not supporting their business practices but to be fair Galleria has always been extremely overpriced. Its nice if you really need a bottle of something that's been long gone off other store's shelves, but you're paying for that luxury. You could walk in and still buy 2013 BCBS from them up until a few weeks ago. And it used to be one of the few places to pick up just about any FFF beer before their expansion and increased distribution last year.

Completely agree. I just missed the train at Southport yesterday and had 15 minutes to kill until the next one came. They did have Straight Jacket for $17.99 which was shocking to me considering their markup's of anything similarly limited.
