Beer Cellar just posted that they have Deal with a Devil in stock. CCBE may burn down Glen Ellyn. And $32.99/bottle! Holy balls. I was already out, but count me out double on this one.
Well that explains the bottle I found at my local spot randomly sitting on the shelf. Picked it up and it turns out to be a Batch 1.

That's crazy! I didn't think Illinois saw distro of Batch 1.

And I absolutely picked up a bottle at Beer Cellar after work because A) zero ***** B) I've wanted this damn beer for too long and the trades are ridiculous for it and C) any excuse to see DaviHaw is worthwhile.

Just heard back from my guy there and it was just a single bottle they put on the shelf. Guess it was just a right place, right time kind of thing.
Grabbed a Straight Jacket as well. Solid BA BW haul night!

Daaaang. I'm sorry I missed it! That has been a big want for me a while. I had no idea it ever showed up around here.

I think B1 (where the hype started) was very limited outside of Alaska. Hence the trade value. Apparently B2 was a much, much larger production that went out nation wide.

Still, $32 = 2 Straight Jackets...

i'd do the B2 for two straight jackets 100X outa 100 with me getting the batch 2(if its as good as the two bottles of B1 i guzzled)

i love hunter(dont care if you dont) but **** it man, thats the perfect beer to get the amount you want and ******* DRINK THE STUFF! its not Pokemon

i'm not saying anything about hunter being a good or bad beer (in fact, i haven't had anything but the barrel aged varieties which i found ranging from 'decent' to 'excellent'). i just find hunter variant trades to be a common watermark of #newmoney.

Put Limit 1 on anything and new money will buy it out.

I can't remember which Binny's does this, but when they want older product to move they put a limit 1 or 2 sticker on it and it moves 100 times faster than it was before. I think it's genius, hilarious and equally sad at the same time.

The Hunter for Hunter trades ******* kill me. "FT: Hunter variants that are just OK ISO: The next Hunter variant that might be better than the ones I have"

I'm attempting this right now (for science) and have been unsuccessful so far. Am I not offering enough? :( Am I worse than #newmoney?

FYI Looking to do Coconut for Vanilla. Hit me up.

i think adam tried it...

The bourbon county möbius strip has become the hunter möbius strip. I swear I saw one guy FT: hunter coffee ISO: hunter vanilla and then three days later do ISO: hunter coffee, FT: hunter vanilla. There's a real possibility that someone on that group is pulling off a great piece of art on bunch of unsuspecting yahoos.

I adore the concept of beer trading as performance art.
