Can someone enlighten me what Transient is?

Guy who was / (is?) the head brewer at One Trick Pony in Lansing, came to a similar agreement to what Cory at Side Project worked out.

His beers are generally good and focus mostly on saisons / brett and mixed fermentation wilds.

transient release was great as expected. anyone know what the hell is in the growler? i had heard it was counter-pressure filled but it was also hop heavy so it wouldn't age well.

pentameter is good but needs age. the new flemish red (at least the whiskey version) is tasty right out the gate. i was very impressed by their berliners too.

While my Jewel had no BCBS, it did have several 6-packs of Not Your Father's Rootbeer I didn't have to wait in line for, so I feel like I still came out ahead for the weekend.

EDIT: Just realized this sounds like I bought more than one. They had several. I bought one. Finally get to tick and move on.

Growler is an IPA supposedly (thats what the ladies said when they gave it to me). I didn't get an actual beer name for it though.

Agreed on Pentameter, at least the draft version. The pour we got was flat, so that didn't help. I think they had to tweak their taps after a few pours so that might have fixed it a bit. After trying the whiskey presque, I went back and swapped for a bottle of it because it was amazing.

Also the Vanilla Henry was good but the Imperial Henry was better, IMO of course.

Growler is a wet-hopped Harvest Saison. I'm opening mine up tonight.

Personally I thought the Vanilla Henry on cask was a huge letdown. Maybe I just built it up too much in my head. The creamy-ness of the cask was there but the vanilla ruined Henry. The vanilla did not mesh well.

Imperial Henry was super tasty. That would have been hnnnggg on cask.

Anyone know of any varients on tap tonight? Closer to NW burbs would be awesome! Did some searching and can't find any still left.
No variants, but Fox and Hound Arl Hts had a fresh keg of Regular flowing yesterday. T'was superb.
