I forgot to hit the ATM on my way and only got two BA bottles...i was a sad sad man not picking up the others. Hoping for a secondary sale of the remaining bottles.
I too did not bring enough cash so I emailed Chris yesterday morning asking exactly that. Will report back if I hear back.

That's great to hear, thanks!
To expand upon that I think Chris has like 20 accounts around the city. Check FB, I think there's a list there. Otherwise the 2 places that I know that almost always has a tap or two of Transient is Farmhouse of Chicago Av. and Farmhouse in Evanston.

Betts just got back to me about picking up and said:

This Saturday (and almost every one following) I have a festival. If you can come in during most weekdays or next Sunday the 20th ill be here. I was actually considering just sticking around all day Sunday the 20th go give out bottles to people who couldn't make it.

Pretty sure he means the 21st.

Just heard back from Chris about extra bottles:

There are some extra bottles and yes they will be as old at one trick. I will be announcing that ill be here all day Sunday the 20th for people to pick up or get extra bottles or their allotment if they couldn't make the event. Otherwise all bottle sales and pickup will be after I announce its availability (waiting for one trick to be all settled in their new taproom before I give them that responsibility).

Sounds like any extras won't be available for sale for another few weeks or however long it takes OTP to get their new taproom built out?

I read this as extras being available to anyone on the 21st and then after that, not until One Trick Pony is up and running. Are you thinking only those who couldn't make it to the release can go on the 21st? Hopefully he sends out more clear details to everyone!

Yeah I read it as those who didn't make the release can come by on the 21st but then any extras after that day will be sold at OTP when they're up and running in their new space. I'm sure he'll send out a mass email with actual details closer to the 21st.

That was a lot quicker than I anticipated. For those who still need to pick up allotments or want to buy more bottles:

Members,

Now that I have had a moment to unwind after the release event, I wanted to send out my sincerest thank you. Leading up to Sunday, I had quite a bit of anxiety on how everything would go, and how smoothly the release would run. Considering the fact that everyone, with the exception of me, was there voluntarily, I was also concerned that any issues would be reflected/be taken out on them. Having talked to many members during the fest, receiving multiple messages after, and even hearing from people not even here that they have heard multiple times about how much fun the event was, I feel inclined to acknowledge how appreciative we are of all of you and the respect you showed up, One Trick Pony and the surrounding businesses.

4th bottle-
For those of you who were in early and left shortly thereafter, there was one minor miscommunication. The carries only held 3 of your release bottles, when you were supposed to receive 4. In my haste, I neglected to mention that to the front, and some of you may have been shorted. We have a list of everyone who has only received 3 bottles (you will be getting a separate email in the coming days describing how we will fix this issue). I appreciate your patience and understanding during the event, and am happy to say that this, aside from natural occurrences (bees), was the only problem of the day.

Separate pick-up days-
As mentioned before, we will allow you to pick up your bottles if you were unable to attend on Sunday. Since One Trick Pony is transitioning from their old tap room to the new one down the street, I have been holding off on mentioning a date when you could start (to keep from laying something else on their plate). I will update you all on this when it happens, but I will be holding a secondary release day (not so much a party, rather I will be in the brewery all day to take care of handing out bottles). This day is September 21st (that is a Sunday).

Extra Bottles-
We have a small amount of extra bottles. Very limited Chardonnay and Red Wine Obelus, along with some Peur (brett beer) and Biere Du Ruche (Honey Saison with brett). If you are coming to pick up your bottles on the 21st they will be available, as well as if you already got bottles but would like a few more. There will still be a limit enforced on the barrel-aged offerings.

Growler-
As stipulated in the membership, you are entitled to one growler and one free growler fill. Again, since we are transitioning at One Trick, this is not yet available. I will announce when you can come pick up your growler and get your fill when my beers are back on tap at the new tasting room. If you do not pick up your growler by the next event, it will be there for you. I cannot promise I will be able to prefill all or any. This addition to the program was meant as a freebie (not really considered in the cost of the membership) but mostly to get people to come in to One Trick Pony and help support the brewery that is currently allowing me to exist, so I encourage you to make the effort, come out and see One Trick in their new space and support them. (PS: I brew their beer as well...)

Again, thank you so much for all your support. Very excited for the future of this program!

Sincerely,
Chris Betts

Sweet, looks like I will be headed out to One Trick on the 21st for more Peur and a bottle of Obelus Red Wine

I will be doing the same! Is the One Trick Pony tap room open for business in their current (old) location? I'd love to be able to try some of their stuff, if I'm making the trip anyway.

Looks like I'm heading to Lansing on the 21st. Hoping to at least snag a bottle of that HPF honey saison as well as my allocation. Wonder how early they open. I sent Chris an email asking what the hours will be that day.

I think I saw somewhere 2-10 pm on Sundays, Facebook maybe?

Guize...I am torn between Zwanze Day and Schramm's anniversary the following week. I can't take both Saturdays off. I feel like I'm picking a favorite child to send to college here.

I'm thinking zwanze > imperial oak oaktoberfest and let trickytunadicky grab our meads. You know how much fun roscoes can be when two big dudes have bar seats.

If you two are going to Roscoes, I want to come. For the record I have never attended Zwanze day, but if you decide to go that way, you will be missed in Ferndale for sure.

Is the Transient sale on the 21'st open to the public or just reserve members?
Members only. The only reason he's opening at all is for members who couldn't make it last week to get their bottles. The extras for sale are, I'm assuming, going to have similar limitations as the initial release did.

I was a little underwhelmed by Yum Yum, but it's certainly better then Jinx Proof so I wouldn't mind if it stuck around. I hate nothing more than heading into a place that says "KEG OF THREE FLOYDS!!! ASK SERVER!!" and then finding out it's a keg of Jinx Proof.
