Members,
Now that I have had a moment to unwind after the release event, I wanted to send out my sincerest thank you. Leading up to Sunday, I had quite a bit of anxiety on how everything would go, and how smoothly the release would run. Considering the fact that everyone, with the exception of me, was there voluntarily, I was also concerned that any issues would be reflected/be taken out on them. Having talked to many members during the fest, receiving multiple messages after, and even hearing from people not even here that they have heard multiple times about how much fun the event was, I feel inclined to acknowledge how appreciative we are of all of you and the respect you showed up, One Trick Pony and the surrounding businesses.
4th bottle-
For those of you who were in early and left shortly thereafter, there was one minor miscommunication. The carries only held 3 of your release bottles, when you were supposed to receive 4. In my haste, I neglected to mention that to the front, and some of you may have been shorted. We have a list of everyone who has only received 3 bottles (you will be getting a separate email in the coming days describing how we will fix this issue). I appreciate your patience and understanding during the event, and am happy to say that this, aside from natural occurrences (bees), was the only problem of the day.
Separate pick-up days-
As mentioned before, we will allow you to pick up your bottles if you were unable to attend on Sunday. Since One Trick Pony is transitioning from their old tap room to the new one down the street, I have been holding off on mentioning a date when you could start (to keep from laying something else on their plate). I will update you all on this when it happens, but I will be holding a secondary release day (not so much a party, rather I will be in the brewery all day to take care of handing out bottles). This day is September 21st (that is a Sunday).
Extra Bottles-
We have a small amount of extra bottles. Very limited Chardonnay and Red Wine Obelus, along with some Peur (brett beer) and Biere Du Ruche (Honey Saison with brett). If you are coming to pick up your bottles on the 21st they will be available, as well as if you already got bottles but would like a few more. There will still be a limit enforced on the barrel-aged offerings.
Growler-
As stipulated in the membership, you are entitled to one growler and one free growler fill. Again, since we are transitioning at One Trick, this is not yet available. I will announce when you can come pick up your growler and get your fill when my beers are back on tap at the new tasting room. If you do not pick up your growler by the next event, it will be there for you. I cannot promise I will be able to prefill all or any. This addition to the program was meant as a freebie (not really considered in the cost of the membership) but mostly to get people to come in to One Trick Pony and help support the brewery that is currently allowing me to exist, so I encourage you to make the effort, come out and see One Trick in their new space and support them. (PS: I brew their beer as well...)
Again, thank you so much for all your support. Very excited for the future of this program!
Sincerely,
Chris Betts
