Anyone seeing Offcolor Fierce around the south burbs yet?
For those who tried it already, how does it stack up the NG Berliner or others? Hoping it'll be a nice replacement given the NG getting pulled.

I saw Binny's just posted about it in their new release email blast. I tried fierce and the new batch of NG Berliner back to back and preferred Fierce. Color me impressed by Off Color thus far.

NG all the way, but that is almost a perfect beer so that's not really a knock on Off Color. It is definitely going to be a nice substitute going forward.

God it was just the perfect summer standard last year. I'm pissed I didn't buy enough before they pulled it this year. Drank my last 4pk last weekend.
Looking forward to this Off Color substitute though.

If you gave me lasts years batch of NG I would agree. I just think with the crazy amounts of carb that I slightly prefer Fierce to the new batch. With that being said though both are amazing beers and I'm happy with either one in my hand.

This year is definitely crazy carbed to the point of being a distraction, still a banger though

If anyone's around Hyde Park and cares, there is one 4-pk of Black Note on the shelves at the 53rd St. Binny's. Almost bought it for trades but can't really be bothered.

Plenty of Oud Bruin around SE WI. Just hit the smaller shops or grocery stores like others have mentioned. Message me if any of you FIBs need help with locations.

Just a short note to my friends and colleagues. In Truckee, and CA in general as well as those in Chicagoland. I am headed back to Flossmoor, IL to start Flossmoor Station's production facility. This is exciting for me as I get to 'finish what I started there' so many years ago. Fear not FiftyFifty fans as my protege Alyssa Shook has assumed Head Brewer duties and assistants Dano and Steve are well versed in operations as well. I will still have QC oversight and will be an acting consultant for all matters beer for the FiftyFifty team.

I do though very much look forward to the challenges ahead at Flossmoor Station. Reacquainting myself with the Chicago beer scene and getting the beers firing on all cylinders.

I am going to be leaving before July is over so if anyone would care to meet for a beer or cocktail...FiftyFifty the afternoon of July 16th or the evening of the 16th at the Fireside Lounge at the Peppermill in Reno till late...

Thanks for the great times and of course I'll be back for Eclipse barrel vetting and the Release Party.

Per Todd Ashman on Facebook this evening.

Personally I thought he already was at Floosmoor under some consulting capacity, and I will wait with some skepticism considering the issues we've heard about Floosmoor ownership in the past.

I seriously thought he was already out here...

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I thought there was a hiccup with him coming out since Flossmoor didn't get their financing in order for the new restaurant/production facility. This is the first we're hearing about new plans for the production facility elsewhere.

But as you so eloquently put it, ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

This is the least announcement worthy announcement ever in beer.

Ashman is going back to Flossmoor and a Lost Abbey beer is flat.

yamar68's brother might want to start looking elsewhere for work.
