Transient Membership emails sound like they'll be going out in the next day or two for those that sent in entries
Yeah According to his post it is now full too. Waiting list is now in effect. So a few more spots should open up for the people that back out of payment.

I had Americain, Locaux, Maigre and the Wild Turkey. All great in their respective styles. Maigre and the Wild Turkey were truly amazing though. Got me looking for those funky farmhouse ales the last couple of days. Sadly I don't drive so the membership was out of the question. Sometimes I think about driving again to enhance my drinking habit, but then I say it out loud.

The Citra trend notwithstanding, I'm looking forward to this one. 7.5%, available June 25. More info here.

And that lady riding the hop vine... I'm not sure how to describe my current feels.

Just missed dark synth at binnys south loop, last bottle went right when I popped in this morning.

Pretty excited that apparently I got in right under the buzzer on Sunday night. Chris emailed me and said I was in the final 10. The math on the beer alone puts this well under what I pay for Bruery RS once I get it shipped here. Happy to get in on the ground floor on something interesting locally. Beers at BUG were really nice.

Kind of sounds like the Wild Turkey Oud Bruin might be ready for release soon too. Hope the berliners will be available as growler fills as well.

Beer Temple had a bottle of the WTOB open a week or so ago, so I assume that's one of the first releases?

Chris's price for the membership is one of the best values I've seen in terms of memberships. 8 bottles alone for $185 isn't bad, but throw in everything else, and the type of beer he is planning on releasing through it, and it's not hard to justify. I hope the stuff he releases turns out great, we could use an interesting brewery in this city.

I can't remember if it was on FB or somewhere else, I remember him saying it'll be a member's bottle for sure. I'm just assuming since he had one ready for that BT tasting, it'll be the first one soon.

Totally agree. The 8 bottles plus growler & fill would get you to about $20/bottle even if you put no value on the rest of it. Put conservative values on the other items you get and you're at no more than $15/bottle and likely even less. One of the few memberships that the more I thought about, the better it sounded.

Was a no brainer for me being so close. Although I recall him mentioning his long term plan was to open his own place further south to do open air, spontaneous farmhouse stuff. Hope he doesn't go too far south though.

Seriously, there is some ridiculous value. This what we're getting (I broke it out by a conservative cost and the remainder was split 8 ways for the bottles):
  • Eight 750ml bottles of barrel-aged/sour/funky beers (or equivalent volume) $14.50 per 750ml
  • Two logoed glasses ($12 at $6 per glass)
  • A Transient shirt ($12)
  • A handmade bottle carrier ($30)
  • One 750ml Growler ($5)
  • One growler fill ($10)
  • Admission to 2 bottle allotment release events (Dates TBD)
  • First right to refuse subsequent memberships
  • First chance to purchase extras of reserve bottles

Im interested to see what he means by admission to 2 bottle allotment release events. Does that mean we have 4 releases or we choose 2 of the 8 release events to have free tickets to?

Yeah I don't know. I'm thinking the latter, and perhaps admission means free drafts and food or something (no idea just spit balling). I wouldn't really enjoy paying to pick up my bottles unless there's some added value there on top of the purchase price for the extra bottles on release day.

My thoughts exactly

Did anyone that signed up before yesterday get an email yet?
I received an original confirmation email and then an update email on June 4th saying,
Hi All,

This email is to confirm with the entire group that you are all receiving emails and are on the reserve list. The membership is just about filled, and as soon as everything is squared away we will send out the email with all the information about payment and the payment deadline.

Thank you all for your support,
Chris Betts
Transient Artisan Ales

I didn't get an email.

.

He hasn't sent them all out yet. I emailed to ask if he got my request and if I was on the waitlist. Turns out I actually made it in the initial membership before the cut off. If you're interested, just shoot him an email.

Definitely shoot him an email like PHBoiler said. There were some issues with the sign up site the first day it was offered and I had to email him to confirm he had all my info since it didn't originally go through and he took care of it quickly.
