Tell them to order it. For srs.

A different Kenwood ordered DF and it ended up getting shipped to the Oak Lawn one. So they took it, and i went down to be all apologetic and the guy was like "Hell of a way to get into an account" but they kept it and were very excited to have it. I left a card because they wouldn't give me the buyer's email and haven't heard anything since.
They are a little (trying to think of the right word) indifferent to craft beer there. I think they just let the Miller and Bud distributors put whatever they want on the shelves, it's a very eclectic mix, which just seems to sit if it doesn't sell.

Any FIBs heading to the Deep Wood preview party at the Beer Temple?
you got some reach, i got 11 days left to get a partridge, know anyone? I am not looking forward to the next 11 days but am looking forward to the extra one sq. ft of space I am getting back in my basement.

Is this how to get the ghost and/or lambic at my liquor craft beer store that's 5 minutes from my apartment? Kinda srs because it's getting cold and they open before noon on my days off.

Oak Lawn Kenwood is where I spent all my income fresh out of college and super into craft beer. I really enjoyed going there for a while, but then **** happened and I have no reason ever to go back.

Yep. Beer is available to whoever wants it, they just gotta get a hold of me. [email protected]

so this is some big news that appeared out of nowhere today. at least for me. Looking forward to this.

Trying this beer right now at Half Acre. It's really great. Super flavorful, easy drinking. We're pretty blessed these days. Between Off Color, Half Acre Wylds, Afterthought, and Is/Was all of our low abv, delicious mixed culture needs are being crushed.

sheeeeiiiittt 2019 Ryeway to Heaven is a return to 2017's thicc warming midwestern body and has more alcohol more spice more complexity dials up 2018's barrel sensibilities

i haven't popped Boss Ryeway or '19 VSOD but '17 Ryeway was the best non-SJ deep wood and I think it just got bumped by '19.

You can also drive like 30-40 more minutes and get some of that St Louis shitlord in too.

You from the Champaign area originally? That's where I got my craft beer legs, after a very extended undergrad stay.

Nope, lived entire life in San Diego. Got a job at a very cool game dev studio in Champaign, so I'm taking a chance and doing something different. I had offers in LA and SF and really didn't want to live there at all.

Nice! I'll be down there the last weekend of February for some bachelor party shenanigans, but I always enjoyed Crane Alley for their very random nice beer selection (a couple years ago Tilquin was on draft). Triptych is a brewery that is brewing beer down there. There is a Binnys if you want the real Chicago experience, otherwise I did all my shelfie buying at Friar Tucks or Sun Singer (both had Fantome before I was a knower). Downtown Champaign has changed a lot since I graduated, but there are a ton of beer bars for grad students and professors (too expensive/far for undergrads). Black Dog is good barbeque, Maize is probably the best Mexican food in the area.

nah, I lost a job

Busting balls, didn't mean to make light of a bad situation. Welcome to Illinois (and happy holidays)! Champaign tends to be a pretty boring town, but you're in a good jump off spot to Chicago, St. Louis, and Carbondale, which are the three main beer spots near you. Come up to Chicago and rage.

Ah, I see I forgot the most important information: there is an Amtrak that runs from Champaign to Chicago, and it's like $28-40 round trip. Adds like a half hour to the trip time, but you can work remotely drink.
