Sour Reserve Blend #1 was pretty mind-opening back in 2011 to my relatively novice sour/wild/funky palate. Never had #2, #3 & #4 were pretty good but didn't live up to #1.

I had SR B2 side-by-side with Lente shortly after it was released and honest-to-God preferred the Upland. So much so that I traded for another one and had it during dinner at my wedding. That was a couple years later and it definitely didn't improve (and my tastes had probably changed) but it was still a pretty good beer.

beeraficionado I'm not kidding. If anyone has old-ass Upland they don't think they'll ever drink, I will 100% take those off your hands. Yeah, even ******* Kiwi. Hell, ESPECIALLY Kiwi.

I’ve got a Sour Reserve Blend 5 if you’re interested.

Had SR b1 and b2 within the last year. Both held up well. I feel like the later batches (5, 6, etc) were much more acidic than those first few batches.

I just realized we were still talking about Sour Reserve and not Statement Reserve. For a second there I thought you were a super secret VIP baller.

You still are to me.

Never did... After trying to rebrew it twice they ended up giving vouchers to the next lottery which was Sour Reserve IIRC.

For the record: I will still defend Upland Sour Reserve. It's the only of their "lambics" to not turn into an acid geyser within 6mo of release.

In our blind unfruited Lambic v. American Wild Ale share last year, Upland finished in the top 10 out of 25 some beers which surprised everyone. Although it was a one-off from the spontaneous project series.

I've got a Sour Reserve #5 that will eventually be in another one of these blind ones eventually

A recent trip to the dentist resulted in some scolding. I knew what wilds and sours did to the enamel, but the dentist didn't know that wilds and sours did that to the enamel. They recommended this, and said it will bring you back to baseline in a couple weeks.

haze and LAGER
dont kid yourself, it was phase three that flew off the shelves while dovetail sold modestly well. if its 2000 rock, dovetail/lagers are modest mouse while haze/phase 3 would be linkin park.
I can guarantee there will be no NE(I)PAs but I did maybe overshoot the level of flaked oats in the first batch...
read to me like haze, sorry for the ministry of misinformation...just wait for the untappd'in 'not juicy enough' or 'meh'. how much lactose will you be using in your lagers?

we rise early and close early & run a restaurant...no worries here. if anything will bring in more folks to both. i think solemn oath might feel the eventual 2020 squeeze if i had to imagine as thats two similar business models blocks away that make similiarish products. we're officially denver now, right?

Is Solemn Oath still going across the street from you guys? Signage was taken down long ago...
