Can't say I've ever been uncomfortable or smelled urine at Wrigley. I do know better than to sit underneath the upperdeck, but everywhere else has great sightlines. The common 'fratboy' refrain from south siders tells me they haven't been to a game since 2003, as there isn't much of that left. There's really no difference in the seats between Downward-Red-Arrow Field and Wrigley either, except drunk fake Irish people won't tell me I deserve to get my ass kicked for wearing a Cubs hat sitting in Wrigley. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Bingo. I've never had a meth head in the cheap seats threaten me at Wrigley.

As a baseball/beer nerd I'll say this. Wrigley is the better baseball experience. Guaranteed Rate/US Cellular/New Comiskey/Sox Park, is the better entertainment experience.

One has an elaborate history, knowledgeable fans, and an unmistakable game day atmosphere surrounding it.
The other has better food options/availability, better beer selection, cheaper tickets, and is frankly easier to get in and out of, before and after.

There's room on my baseball palate for both.

**** everything about those misogynistic *****.

Just in case anyone forgot / didn't konw the background. While the brewer's actions are indefensible, I would not use that (personally) as a basis for not supporting the brand in the future based on the action of one employee.

After that + the absurd "joke" regarding the therapist doll however, I don't see myself purchasing their beer with the myriad of options we have in Chicagoland.

One has knowledgeable fans,

lolwut.

I'm saying that about The Rate, mind you.

But man.. I don't think that would ever be something I'd say after my experiences at Wrigley.

Eh Dunt ?

I go to a fair amount of games (this year I think I'm at 12 Wrigley, 5 Sox, 2 Baltimore, 1 Blue Jays) and have been to most ballparks. While I agree that there are a large amount of dbags there for the party/scene, I've never seen a higher percentage of fans that keep score and know more about the history of the game than at Wrigley.

Dunt is way too busy mentally preparing himself for the Monsters of the Midway to worry about baseball at the moment Adam.

There are certainly more Bears fans at Sox games. That's not a compliment.

Twitter Dunt has turned towards a healthy percentage of Bears tweets of late.. but there are still plenty of White sox farm team RTs and "Atta boys" to White Sox twitter, no doubt.

A vacant storefront along a booming stretch of Logan Square’s Milwaukee Avenue could soon be home to an “experimental brewery incubator” and taproom.

Pilot Project, a new spot promising “guerrilla brewing,” is looking to open in an existing one-story building at 2140 N. Milwaukee Ave., across from the Congress Theater.

So would this be for talented homebrewers who want to dip their toe into starting a brewing business and start to build their brand?

Was at Sheffield's last week before a night game. Nice beer garden, decent bbq, very good beer list.

FWIW, was at Sheffields today talking to one of the workers when a BIG rat (not a small mouse) ran out from the kitchen area and across the bottom footrest of the rear bar. We both looked at each other, he said "Did you see that too?" . And that was all anybody did about it, he didn't mind telling the chef/kitchen manager when he came back out couple minutes....

Ive never been there to eat, but yea

(i might see yall at the coffee eugune/fresh hop Rev release party as well, maybe ;) )

And the one time I bought a 4-pack of Melvin 2x4 was the one time I drained poured an IPA, all 3 cans I tasted were the SWEETEST hoppy ale Ive ever had. Ya know how some IPAs/pale ales can get less bitter, more sweet over time..well the date was on the bottom and it wasn't old but it was undrinkably sweet. Like somebody poured sugar or simple syrup in it.

I ate there for lunch Monday and it was delicious, rat be damned.
