vav you may enjoy this...was asked to write a little blurb about a brewery i'd like to visit..."scratch is the can of craft beer. while everyone is trying to recreate the beatles they're carving out blah blah blah...."
two days later, a question from the editor...is this a typo, can you clarify what you mean by 'the can of craft beer'?

Ya, a couple weeks ago was (selective) lottery selection. Luv the idea of a true lottery...sorry goose island, you don’t have a booth it went to RAM of Schaumburg or middle brow.I am going this year for the first time. Have breweries been told if they have been accepted yet?

Must be flattering beeraficionado that you're setting the trends for Goose to follow with those great Deth variants.
Also "Black Current"?

After doing a little checking around this morning it appears that they've been "up for sale" for at least 3 months if not longer. Additionally, the number that Bad Apple is looking to get ($830,000) is about $500,000 more than the average bar in that area (without real estate) is getting these days, so if they are set on a number above $750,000 it might be for sale for quite a while.
Still it's kind of sad, and I have to imagine it's a drain on the employees who have to be aware of the uncertain future.

A little more detail behind putting the business up for sale.
This is an awesome assessment of it. A bunch of Tikk-ers trying to run around and grab all of the whalez but if you're just looking to try a bunch of new spots, or discover new spots it's worth the cash. Also doubling down on the people watching event because people have no idea how to hold themselves together in public.

“DRESSING UP AN IMPERIAL STOUT IS THE EASY PART. THE HARD WORK IS IN CREATING GREAT BASE BEERS, PRESERVING THEIR INITIAL QUALITY DURING AGING, AND ADDING COMPLEXITIES” BREWER MARTY SCOTT SAID. “WORLD-CLASS BARREL-AGED BEER STARTS AS WORLD-CLASS BEER. THE DEEP WOOD SERIES AIMS TO TASTEFULLY ENHANCE THOSE QUALITIES. EVEN OUR ADJUNCTS HAVE A LONG HISTORY IN BREWING– CURRANTS HAVE BEEN USED IN LAMBIC-STYLE BEERS FOR CENTURIES, AND WE’RE EXCITED TO FEATURE THEM IN A STOUT.”
