So... BellyQ is closing to the public after today. I just went last week and it was packed.

Restaurant market is brutal now. Things you expect to not close, unexpectedly close out of the blue.

Side note: having VSOJ for the first time at Pearl St Taphouse in Jeffersonville, IN (how did they get this?!?, directly across the bridge from Louisville) and it’s mind-blowing. Worth a stop if anyone’s down here. Old shotgun house turned into a beer bar with a shockingly awesome taplist regularly. Code Switch, Jamo-Nilla, Deth’s Tar and Two BA Sun King beers on currently.

Much appreciated, however danidavid was ridiculously generous as usual and dropped off a few goodies last weekend while she was in town for a wedding.

That said, as of tomorrow I'll have a whole lot more time on my hands for a few weeks, so I may just head on down anyway. Thanks for the heads up!

Rev posted limits for next event

Regular = 3 4-packs
Cafe = 3
Currants = 2

Also posted totals. They have 500 allotments of regular each day, 700 allotments of Cafe, and 750 allotments of Currants.

No idea how this compares to last year's totals but it definitely changes my plans toward being there as early as possible.

I want to say there were 1,000 full allotments of VSOJ for point of reference. That was only one day though, while this is for each of the two days. I got to VSOJ at 3:30 and got a full allotment well before the beer ran out. Don't see why that wouldn't hold true for this next release when you consider it is over two days and only Deth by Currants is brewery only. Plus I could see more folks not buying full allotments. I'm not buying 32 cans of barrel aged stout.

I don’t want to post it on here but what I’ve found out about one of the owners of two brothers today on CCBE has simply blown my ******* mind. How the **** are they still or ever even a company? How did they manage to bury that news for their existence while getting periodic fluff pieces from local papers about coffee or cocktails or whatever? ****** crazy

I quit that group a while back. Just give me a number on a scale of 1 to Cademom.

I figured it was common knowledge but not discussed, as I have known for at least a few years and am not really clued in on industry chatter. I probably wouldn't have purchased much of their stuff since then anyways, but it made it an easy no-buy policy.

Sorry I didn't get back in touch with any of the folks that were at Rosemont a couple weekends back, was taking a temporary break from TB.

However, I did buy tickets to the Black Friday BCS Tasting at Goose Island on the secondary market this week. When I told LT we were going (after telling him earlier in the day that we weren't as I'm somehow the only MBA member that's not getting emails these days...) he asked me who I bought tickets from on the secondary market. When I wouldn't tell him from who / how much extra I paid, he asked if I bought them from JEG...

I did...

Hopefully he extrad you a lamp.

Come on. 'Likes' can mean many different things. It's all about context. Here, I see it as "confirmed, this is what I heard as well". When someone posts a eulogy about their dog dying, I'm not cheering the dog's death by hitting the 'like' button.

I am in no way implying that Gonzoillini is supporting such actions, just that said "Like" could look quite bad when it is purposely taken out of context. Like I did.

I apologize if this was offensive.

Anybody have the Sofie Paradisi release yet? Wondering if it's worth grabbing a bottle on Sunday if that's even possible as I don't know all the Prop Day rules.

It's great. Very bright. The grapefruit is such a terrific treatment for it. Surprised they hadn't redone that one sooner.

Unrelated, Today is the 5th year anniversary for playaplaya drunkenly running his car off I-88 after the Beer Temple bottle share. Stout season is here. Make good decisions, kids.
