I picked up 1/25 Todd the Axe Man last night for $9.99 (!) at Binny's.

Calling it a shell of what it once was would be unfair to shells.

Anyone else have this lately?

did the trump tax cuts make hops 60% cheaper? maybe when todd left he took all the citra & mosaic with him to FFF and its now just cascade.

i had it on draft recently and it was fine, though i don't buy it regularly so it's entirely possible and reasonable that my palate is trash

Am I the only one who can do without IPA's in general? and in particular IPA's featuring Citra hops? #beentheredonethat
Please see the Wisconsin thread.
Edit: apparently you already have.

Stopped in at Work Force after grabbing some coffee. Their German-style pilsner was really, really good.

I imagine your great-great grandpa while sippin his moxie soda was waiting for the end of these new fangled cola's. we're probably like 2 years away from a citra-hopped miller lite.

I was with you til you said citra.... It at least tastes palatable instead of like rubber butthole. Get rid of Summit hops. Pls. Yesterday. Thx.

I have my own private personal reasons for hating citra hops, although I am not able to divulge them here. It does taste "palatable" and I have no problems with its use, but it just seems to be the cornerstone of almost every IPA/NEIPA, or an afterthought. Like hey lets throw in some citra... also I could see myself coming around on them, as I used to drink many beers brewed with them. Its just annoying to go into a beer cooler @ binnys or somewhere and see 90% ipas and pale ales... but no Tooth and Claw

I mean, I remember when Cascade and Centennial were also cool.
