Just opened a Cafe Deth and holy ****, this is good. Any left or is it being saved for the 1/12 release?

Last Saturday there was still an a**load at the brewery. But keep these conversations in the super-secret thread not this one

P.S. VSOD kind of tasted cola-like and thin on draft. Out of the can the BPA adds so much mouthsfeels.. wish i grabbed more than one four pack

Speaking of hazebro, anybody had any of the hazebro IPAs from SOB with the new brewer? The cans look sweet. Maybe it was the Foster the People name that caught my eye. Maybe somebody has tried some of them?

I didn't love the one they put out a few months ago, but I'll probably stop over and try it tomorrow.

WTF is SOB?

Sob is a verb meaning cry. Sob and SoB may refer to: Souls on Board, used in aviation transportation; Seventeen or Bust, a distributed computing project; Special Operations Battalion (SOB), an elite unit of the Croatian army; Society of Old Brooklynites · Son of a bitch, an insult or curse phrase

"S.O.B." is a song by American rock band Nathaniel Rateliff & the Night Sweats. It was released as the lead single from their self-titled debut album.

S.O.B. is a 1981 American comedy film written and directed by Blake Edwards. It stars Julie Andrews, Richard Mulligan, Robert Preston, Larry Hagman, Robert Vaughn, Robert Webber, Loretta Swit, Shelley Winters, and William Holden (in his final film).

sob: to catch the breath audibly in a spasmodic contraction of the throat

I know most of you only drink life at this point, but just in case I figured I would mention that we're tapping a five-year vertical of BCS tomorrow at The Beer Temple. First time I remember seeing something like this.

I
Brooklyn Black Chocolate Stout? #oldmoney #justkidding

Who's got a screen shot of the Ram stout release that the guy was sampling off in take-out containers and just asking for thank-you beers?

Gotchu...

The RAM Race to the Bottom© continues.

If you enjoy imperial stouts repackaged in last weeks plum dumpling sauce containers, boy are you in luck.

Didn't vav do a vertical at one point the first Christmas after he opened the fancy-dancy taproom at Macey St? I only remember this because I was browsing through with a friend and he made a point to mention it was on tap.

I don't know if it is any good or even what hops are involved but if I was anywhere near Half Acre I'd snag the new DIPA cans purely for the Gorton's Fisherman on the label. That's a sweet ass label.

I normally dont get excited for IPA's but this sounds great

"A siren song to the hop totem, Sailor's Kush calls up English yeast with 2row, Vienna, Pale malt and oats, plus two servings of Enigma, Equinox, Comet, Galaxy, Nelson, and Citra. We're all at sea, don't get the bends."

I went to the Maplewood grand opening today and highly recommend checking it out. There was a pretty long line to order drinks, but I imagine that it will be more steady once they're past the first weekend and get used to their POS system. They have a really nice mix of clean and flavorful hop-forward beers and pilsners, a couple hazy beers that are well done, then some interesting twists like Fat Pug on Nitro. I want to say there was about 12 beers, including some that you've probably never seen. They have 4 cocktails that sounded and looked awesome, but I didn't have time to dip into them. There's a limited food menu that all sounded great, including buffalo chicken mac N cheese. It's up the street from the movie theater on Western, just south of Diversey, by Owen & Engine.

If they had an actual fat pug on the shoulders of Nitro from American Gladiators serving pours of Fat Pug on Nitro then that would truly be a GRAND opening.

Are you allowed to plug other breweries in OUR forum? I’m so confused. WHAT ARE THE RULES?
