Swung by Clybourn yesterday. It’s beautiful. It really is. Yes it’s a little more sleek and modern than it was. Ok a lot more. But it still feels like Clybourn. The brewhouse sorely needed an update, and I’m happy to report it is awesome and the amount of tank space is doubled. Casks will be happening, Siebel room still there, back bar is wooden and harkens back to OG and also the reserve room at the Barrel Warehouse. Kitchen got a gorgeous remodel too, with an open pass and clear sight lines.

And the original bar is in the Barrel Warehouse storage in pieces, but is not being thrown out.
they should rebuild it somewhere in a quasi secret location and only MBA & CBS members & friends should be allowed to drink there and bitch about the ways things used to be. the taplist has to be minimally hoppy and has to have 4 casks at all time.

side question...you hear the new fever ray album yet??? ....

I did say I was going to bring in my Dremel and carve my name into the underside of the chair in my spot, and do the same for John Hall, Mark Horning, Pete Schultz, and Greg Woodward* and no one seemed phased by this at all. So I’m going to call their bluff on this.

And no I haven’t heard it yet.

*these are all people you may not know but you would all recognize, I almost guarantee it.

Who is John Hall?

Name-dropper.

Historically, how do FB event Going/Interested counts correlate to actual attendance?

200+ marked going/1.5k interested
Great question and one I've been thinking about since Oktoberfest, but I think it varies depending on where else you are publicizing the event.

Oktoberfest said 8.5K interested, 3.5K going. We had about 25K.
Coffee Eugene said 505 interested, 135 going. We had right around 400-450 throughout the day.

We have a pretty great system worked out for Deth's Tar. The Tap Room and Package Sales will be completely separate. The bar will have 2 sets of all the barrel-aged beers on draft, and only Fist City as a non-barrel aged option. Then there will be a 2nd/3rd bar set up at the flag with the same. Cash only, every item is $6 (5oz barrel-aged pour, 16oz Fist City). With plastic cups, cash only, and 1 price, we'll be able to fly through lines. The biggest issue for us will be capacity in the Tap Room, which is around 300. We're making more of the specialty variants, so there won't just be a six barrel of any. Everything will be at least a half barrel each day, many will be more than that.

For packaged sales, there may be as many as 7 check-out terminals, with 7 other people picking orders. So that should move pretty well too. That's about the best we can do.

If you open the brewery doors, capacity could triple.

For real though, glad you are increasing check out terminals. The Coffee Eugene line moved pretty slow the first hour and both terminals crashed. I can only imagine how insane Deth's Tar will be.

Love that you guys think through all of this stuff. May be nuttz to buttz but knowing things are moving efficiently makes all the difference.

*shameless promotion* - a barrel aged version of our milk eyed mender adjunct pastry stout is coming out next tuesday at beer temple. there's only like 120 bottles. aged for 2 years in koval oat and then slowly carbed for another 6 months. all the adjuncts mellowed and evolved and outta the bottle this f*cker is gorgeous...notes of subtle pepper, cherry, vanilla, oatmeal, plum, coconut, the mental concept of heaven, bowies berlin period, 90's bulls, etc. f*ck FOBAB, fund our brewpub.
