Ya...sounds weird to say about anything but wilds or Belgians. But ya....bottle conditioned. It was a lil goofier as we barely added anything and sorta capped it like you would a lambic and waited for the few damn near dead yeasts to eat some of the pastry. It added a cool complexity to the subtle carb & flavor.
Finally. Chicago has the Hair of the Dog it deserves.

This is how you price a release.

Hunahpu's Day is Cigar City Brewing's annual craft beer celebration centered around the release of Hunahpu's Imperial Stout. This celebration is the only way to get bottles of this highly anticipated annual release.

Please note the change of venue, Hunaphu's Day 2018 will be held at Raymond James Stadium in lots 5 & 7.

Orin is hitting distro? Did we know this? This seems like news. I saw Beer Cellar had it today. If I had less going on today I'd just drive to Glen Ellyn. Is this hitting Binny's level distro?

If I can't score a case of DB Huna while others get shut out it's not even Huna Day IMO.

Making a quick trip to Chicago for a friend's wedding...have Sunday afternoon free to hang if anyone wants to toucheth tips. capnmike

First question...is there any place that has More on draft in the city? That DDH Dusty pale ale was killer.

Second question...can Straight Jacket cans be found easily at bottle shops?

I don't think they distro anything. Gotta go out to the brewery. However Forbidden Root and Corridor Brewing both do great hazy IPAs if you are looking for that.

Cans haven't been distro'd yet. I think they are coming early 2018. 22oz bottles may still be around.

Third question sorry...any better options than Bangers and Lace for a great bourbon selection at a decent price? Enjoyed that spot a couple years ago.

Delilah's and Twisted Spoke are two of my favs. Great beer lists too.

No it's not. It's a business, just like a brewery. A business that was breaking even, if that. Unionization would have increased wages. No owner is in business to lose money. Not even the Ricketts.
He also completely wiped the websites. infoChicago didn't have a web cache so all of those writers can't use their articles to get new jobs.

No responsible reporter would submit an article without keeping a copy. Of course they have their portfolio to submit for new jobs.
