Off Color bottle shop you say?

What's the going rate for a 4 course dinner at a fine dining restaurant and 6 pours of beer? You can have multiple pours of the beers too if you'd like. Conservatively put the 3 canned beers at $6 pours, put Crimson at $8, BA Revival at $8, and BA Jones Dog at $10. That's $44 in beer alone. Leaves you at $9/course for four courses if the opening cocktail app is free.

I mean if people don't like food, then by all means don't spend that money. My guess is that most folks pay $50 to $60 for a four course plated dinner at a fine dining restaurant. At the low end you're paying $30 for 6 beers. That's assuming no value provided by the event itself.

I've been to quite a few beer dinners and have never received the full value of what I paid. I'd personally rather buy a $50 steak and three 4-packs of Lizard King at that price.

Here in NC, we're allocated a case of apex predator to shops that do well with twelve percent. When we get it, it's $14 a 4pk with standard markup.

Never thought I'd say it, but enjoy what you have Chicago

It was the same in Mass. $14 4pks and $16 6pks. I'm in a much better place now.

Guest Lager was also shrink wrapped cans a few years ago. With using the shrink wrap it seemed like they would be doing this with more special releases? I know there is additional cost but that would be passed onto the consumer with the 4 pack I would assume? I think HA just sees the higher profit margin in bombers and chooses to go that route. Until HA returns specialty beers to 4 packs I could give a **** about any of their bombers!
if I remember correctly the BHA labels were shrink-wrapped plastic on a plain silver can. Plus now they have that new space...wherever that new space is I forget.

Edit: Bombers offer the highest ROI for the brewery. As long as we keep buying they'll keep selling.

Saw Straight Jacket now $18.99 at Binny's. Is that new? Were they still $15 at taproom?

Suggestion, because Revolution doesn't need to incentivize stores to carry their beer in the area in order to carry the "special" stuff (because people buy their good beer anyways): Make all the "special" bottles taproom "exclusive" and keep it at the $15 price point. I would hate to see stores start to complain that they are not selling through bottles at $18.99 when the taproom is undercutting the price by $4, meaning they jump to $20 at the taproom (non-starter, IMO, on nearly all offerings).

Special Releases at the Brewery!

First up: Whiskers, Saturday February 13, 14pm

Ticket Reservations: You know what's not fun? Standing in line. We won't be able to completely
eliminate it but to try and help we'll release timed presale reservations on the website a week before the
release. Tickets will be $1 with all proceeds from ticket sales donated to charities we support such as
WrightWay Rescue. Bottle allocations will be based off of the number of tickets sold.

About Whiskers: Centered on the idea that cutesy animals deserve cutesy beer, we brewed this rosé
inspired American Wild Ale with our good friends (and likely only all Brettanomyces brewery) Central
State Brewing from down in Indianapolis. Whiskers is fermented with a blend of our own funk cultures,
house lactobacillus and CSB Brett strain, Brettanomyces indianapolis and aged in puncheon barrels.
Vinous, acidic, dry and funky. Sure, Whiskers won Silver in Wild Beer – Acidic at the 2015 Festival of
Barrel and Wood Aged Beer but, more importantly, it has an otter on the label.
This is a breweryonly release. Whiskers Ticket Reservations go live at 1pm, Sunday, February 7:
offcolorbrewing.com/releases.

No cash will be accepted, so don’t forget your credit card!

I see they've added the price - $20 per bottle. Anybody know if this is a share friendly space or is it grab and go?

Edit: To prove I'm not that lazy I just emailed John. Will post if/when he responds.

I think I can safely say Laffler doesn't want a horde of beer geeks drunkenly loitering in his bottle shop.

Does anyone think this is worth leaving the house for?
Billy Gene, a single bourbon barrel of Mean Gene blended with Gravedigger.

The alternative is sitting at home and seeing how much of Hoplam sixer I can polish off tonight while getting caught up with Better Call Saul.
