Fischmans has pretty cheap drafts, sometimes cheaper that you can buy at the store. They had DF 120 for 10 bucks a 12 oz pour and Abrasive for 6 bucks a 13 oz pour earlier this week and the last. Monday it was 2 bucks off each. Making 120 cheaper than retail and Abrasive for 4 bucks.it's happened, guys. the $10 local IPA pour. ugh. http://www.beermenus.com/places/2221-fischman-s-tavern
I'm inclined to agree but... it's Pipeworks. So, like, they get some sort of a pass for outrageous pricing.it's happened, guys. the $10 local IPA pour. ugh. http://www.beermenus.com/places/2221-fischman-s-tavern

It don't get better than that.
The only complaint I have on the place is that the limited stuff goes straight to the bar not the store. I complain because its a place I could hit on my lunch break, making those limited releases a easy grab if so, but hell can't have it all.

Ardmore Station out?
For those that have done the tour at the GI Fulton brewery, how does one set that up? Is there a set schedule for these or do I have to call and reserve slots? Never actually done it before.
I don't believe they do public tours unless it was privately setup or related to a larger event.
I went on one that was setup by Dave (big guy who always wears the goose hockey jerseys), but he Is a brewer.
Cheers!
Knock on the door at 6 pm. Director of Operations let me in and said to go up the stairs. And if they let me in, they must let anyone in.For those that have done the tour at the GI Fulton brewery, how does one set that up? I set up a private tour and tasting for my best friend's bachelor party 2 summers ago. A. St. Patrick's Day in Chicago is the worst.
B. The upstairs bar in the big Whole Foods off Kingsbury is a damn oasis because it's empty.
C. The draft list is stacked and well priced (relatively speaking) - $7/8oz. of BCS and Abraxas, even $5 bottles of 2011 Central Waters barrel-aged stout (not entirely sure it's worth even $5, but eh...).
D. There are numerous other stouts and rar shelf-turds, too.
E. I might have had too many $5 2011 Central Waters barrel-aged stouts. Should cross-post.
Not that I'm in a position to taste things all that well anymore, but I was eyeing that myself. Might as well give it a whirl!i was totally there early today. that upstairs bar is killer. spent way too long lounging in an armchair and nursing a rio reserva.
About to head up there is a bit. Guess an hour before opening is enough.... maybe?Yesterday, I asked Chris if he expected lines around the block. He did not. He hoped not
Wishful thinking, imo
