Prop wasn't brewery only though which gives Darkness the advantage.
It depends where you live. In Chicago you could have picked up Darkness at any Binny's yesterday and today. Got two an hour ago, no lines, no fuss. Props on the other hand you had a line no matter what, random luck excluded. Plus if you wanted multiples the whole no line thing is mule friendly leading to a possibility of 8 or so bottles in a few hours.

You're right.

What kind of discount can you get me?

Got some free time this weekend. Was thinking of hitting one of the new-ish places I haven't been to yet, any of them worth a visit? Horse Thief Hollow? Buckledown? Temperance? Already been to One Trick Pony, 18th Street and Urban Legend.
Are there any other brewery/taprooms that have opened up in the last 6 months?

No release party (boo!) for Revolution's Straight Jacket this year -- on sale at the taproom in 22oz. bottles as of yesterday ($15). Hugene is back on tap, too, which I have liked a lot in the past. I hope E. Norma Gene shows up at their anniversary party in a few weeks -- I liked that one quite a bit more.

whos going to CW16 that wants to go fetch a few bottles of straight jacket for me?

Not that anyone but me cares, but Rolling Meadows Brewery down in Springfield is having their second annual release of Barrel Aged Abe's Ale tomorrow at the brewery from 1-7. Only 300 bottles, super.rar! It's a maple syrup brown ale aged in Elijah Craig 12yr barrels.

Anyone know what are some good places (bars or taprooms) in Chicago that allow people to bring bottles to share either for a corkage fee or a "just share with the bartender" fee?

How many do you mean by bottles?

Not sure yet. But I'd imagine just a couple. I'd guess around 5 or 6 maybe less. Nothing really set, but just trying to do research for minnesotaryan when he comes to Chicago at some point.
I'd like to throw Rickshaw Republic out there. Not a bar, but the food is insane and they were very accommodating to 6 of us opening 18 whaley bottles. No corkage as they don't serve alcohol. Walking distance or a short cab ride to great bars.

I would also suggest finding a good BYOB place.
