Hey guys, I hope this is okay in this spot...it's not really about anything specifically, so I figured "general discussion" was okay.

Do any of you make Festa beer kits? They are all grain (I assume they aren't lying). I cannot, for the LIFE of me, get them to clear, worth a darn! When I do my own all grain brews, I do Irish Moss and then IF need be, and not always, might do a gelatin fining - I always, ALWAYS, get super clear, nice beer.

But these Festa's, which I make when I just want to make a kit and not spend hours making beer, I can't get to clear. So, obviously being a kit, I can't use irish moss. Neither do I know how good their hot and cold breaks were. So, I'm cold crashing for MONTHS, and they are still foggy. I've tried "super kleer", I've tried Sparkolloid, I've tried gelatin, I've tried polyclar. Nothing, and I mean nothing so far, clears these beers.

They taste fine, so I'm not worried about cloudy beer...but you know how friends can be, they still think I can't make a good beer (even though these are kits and my own all grains are clear...go figure).

Oh...and lastly, I bought a filter, and tried twice, filtering with a 1 micron filter. The beer came out EXACTLY as it went in...lol. So, Festa = Foggy? Thoughts?
