Just got back into brewing after long hiatus.
Was fermenting an IIPA with imperial Barbarian yeast 04 and before I realized the carboy got pretty hot with a vigorous fermentation , the temp ran to about 79 degrees for a day while I was gone , I put it in an ice bath and now it’s about 69 degrees , did I screw up the beer? Thanks for your advice

What's done is done. Just hope for the best!

If you're thinking about doing this long-term, it will help to look into a more precise form of temperature control, like a refrigerator plugged into a controller (e.g Inkbird 308).

Welcome to HBT!
Cheers
