Hi all,

I'm a newbie here. I just started a wine batch made with 100% cherry juice on June 29 in the evening. I noticed that the percolating stopped overnight, the night of July 3. So, it seemed it perked for 4 days then stopped. Does this seem normal, or do you think there could be something wrong with my batch? thanks!

Depends on ferm temp, type of yeast, what type of cherries, any additions, real cherries vs starting with cherry juice, etc.

In my experience, pure juice finishes primary faster than mashed fruit. Four days is fast, but not worrisome to me.
