I had my ale in my primary bucket for the past week at a constant temp of 63-64 and all of a sudden on the 7th day the temp jumped up to 68-69. I'm using an ac window unit as my cooling source. its holding at that temp but I have had it soo much lower earlier will this effect anything? Also what do you think it could be the ac unite still is cooling the chamber but not like it was

At 7 days, I don't think you'll notice much of anything. The rise in temp will likely help the yeast keep chugging along and eat up any by products.

Thats good to know. Maybe I should use a fridge with a temp control next time since it seems more reliable. I just don't understand why the ac could hold it at 63 but all of a sudden cant. The way i built the thing I cant even really get to the ac unit haha
