I accidentally added 1 drop of ferm cap after I boiled my yeast starter instead of before. I then added the yeast and put it on my stir plate. It appears to be fermenting but has no Krausen at all. Will this be a problem? I was hoping to brew today or tomorrow and hate to make a special trip to the brewstore for new yeast.

From Northern Brewer's website: "An anti-foam agent that can be used during fermentation to eliminate messy blowoff. Can also be added during the boil to reduce the risk of boilovers."

It is often used that way and the absence of krausen is what it is supposed to do.

Thank you very much, everything I read talked about it being added prior to the boil. I will continue on with the Brew Day.
