I just do it so my wife won't go out to where I store all of my beer!

@jimyson the NCAA score goodies got dropped off!! The coffee got free but I was able to keep most of it. Awesome selection of stuff I have never tried!!

Thank you!

Nice. I hope you enjoy. Sorry to hear about the coffee.

Bourbon. The left is Michter's Toaster Rye and the right is OWA 107 "Kappys" Store Pick.

No need to be sorry, it split right down the top so they are in a new bag now and I lost maybe a handful :)

I have only had bullit bourbon and it was in a Manhattan. Not a big fan. I love tequila!

What coffee did you roast and send @orionol73? I'm always curious now that I started roasting my own coffee since December.

This was an Ethiopia Yirgacheffe Dumerso. I roasted it lighter to accentuate the acidity and blueberry notes. Hopefully @orionol73 enjoys that.

I had a weird feeling that would happen. Damn. At least you only lost a bit.

Hmmm....gets me thinking.....Fellowship of the coffee? Maybe one day.

I'm in a Home Coffee Roasters FB group that does an exchange. The picks are random and you don't know who got you. They put together some samples, roast profiles, possibly some green beans, and whatever else you choose to throw in. When you get them, you need to post pics and a critique of their roasting. I threw in 10oz each of 2 different beans with a pound each of the green for the box that I sent out. That way, they can see how I roasted mine and then they have a chance to roast it on their roaster to see the difference.

I had a pretty cool coffee drink at lunch. It was a double espresso and a ginger beer over ice with an orange wedge. They called it espresso beer and it was really tasty.

I haven’t got in to coffee roasting yet but there are a few local coffee roasters that I enjoy. I have ordered some expensive coffees online before but was never really satisfied. Deathwish coffee, Valhalla coffee, and black rifle coffee. They were all just OK.

Sounds like a trip to 'Nam is in order.

I have had Vietnamese coffee at some restaurants and that stuff is like nail polish remover.

IDK about that egg yolk stuff but the coconut sounds good. Thai coffee is good when they make it with sweetened condensed milk. I think the reason the Vietnamese coffee wasn’t good is because they used robusta beans. Those tend to be more harsh. I have never left the US but maybe one day. Germany will be first though so Vietnam will have to wait.

I think you mean Vietnamese coffee (re: sweetened condensed milk); although, they both use that in drinks...so...

Oh, well maybe. I just think of Thai tea and associate it with Thai coffee. I think the coffee I didn’t like was at a pho restaurant though and that’s Vietnamese right?

Oh totally! Plus I’m buying extras of everything for this weekend!

Should be sending your LOT out tomorrow.
