Hi all,

I'm attempting to clean up some of the grains I have lying around the house, and since most of them are roasted grains, I thought I would make a RIS since I've never made one before. I'm doing a 2.5 gallon BIAB brew, as I really don't have space for anything larger at the moment.

Grain:
5 lbs Maris Otter (58.82%)
1 lb light DME (11.76%)
.75 lbs black barley (8.82%)
.5 lbs Chocolate (6.25%)
.25 lbs Chocolate Rye (3.13%)
.25 lbs black malt (3.13%)
.25 Crystal 150 (3.13%).

Steep at 152 degrees for 60 min

Hops:
Galena: .5 oz @ 13%AA (60 min)
Galena: .5 oz @ 13%AA (30 min)

Yeast:
Mix of WLP 002 (English Ale) & The Yeast Bay's Lochristi Brett blend

Below are the values when I put the recipe into Brewtoad:
OG: 1.091
FG: 1.014
IBUs: 59
Final ABV: 10.2%

Some questions:
  1. Is this too much roasted grains? I like my stouts to be pretty roasty, but I'm wondering if I'm overdoing it here.
  2. Is my OG high enough? I want a full bodied stout, and 1.014 as a predicted FG seems kind of low. Would adding another pound of DME or some Carapils help with that?
Thanks! :)
